My AI notetaker, Granola, summed me up as:

Chief Architect of Actionable Ambiguity and Vice President of Unsolicited Progress

Hi, I'm Chelsea, a product designer and builder in Munich. I've designed digital products for 10+ years, the last five as a Staff Product Designer at Goodnotes. I started in visual design as an art director at design agencies, where my work moved from print and campaigns into apps and websites for brands like BMW, Volkswagen, Coca-Cola, Telekom, O2 and SportScheck.

I like ideas that have been stuck for years under “huge build”. There's usually a smaller, truer version inside. I find it and ship enough of it to test in production. Two pending patents and four hackathon wins came out of that habit.

Away from the screen I make things with my hands: pottery and riso prints. Currently reading On the Calculation of Volume I (opens in a new tab) by Solvej Balle.

What others say

“Chelsea exemplifies what the most senior design IC leaders should look like today: strategic, technically fluent, close to the work, and capable of turning ambiguity into clear, ambitious product solutions.”

Cheryl C., Staff Product Designer (ex-Slack, ex-Pinterest) at Goodnotes

“…the team having to deal with compliance, security, legal, business risk and high stakes customer engagement and Chelsea jumped in with both feet. … Chelsea hit the ground running and eventually took on the product management role in some of the team's initiatives all the while wearing her designer hat. There's a short list of people I'd call if I were to start my own venture, and she's definitely on it.”

“Chelsea's been an incredible support for me personally and professionally. She's kind, open, and always willing to help others grow. Whether it's giving advice, sharing user insights, or just being a sounding board, she adds real value in every interaction. She embodies what a great lead looks like at Goodnotes.”
