This is Tobi’s last week so we are trying to hit up all our favorite food places for the last time together. Today was Indian food at Palast der Winde, which is probably my favorite lunch time food. For one thing, their food is amazing, but the guys that work there are always so friendly and sweet. Their lunch special offers a choice between soup or salad, a fresh and warm piece of naan, fluffy and fragrant rice, the curry of your choice and a piece of chocolate when you pay the bill. I always get the Mixed Vegetable curry with soup.

I thought I had lost all of my old photos when my external hard drive crashed, but I just found this dvd full of stuff! Most of the photos I took that year were taken on walks with Gabriella, my flatmate and my closest friend in Milan. We spent many a Friday night eating really good pizza from a place down the street and drinking Birra Moretti, talking about design and school. And we also spent the weekends working on our computers and taking walks through the neighborhood or having tea.

I sometimes miss the nice flatmate atmosphere. Pak was our third flatmate, and the three of us all went to school together the previous year in Florence so we knew each other. It was so nice to come home to them bustling around the kitchen cooking dinner and talking.
