the weather has been turning a lovely gray and cold. a nice contrast to the bright colors from monday.

coasters. it actually took me forever and a bit of google to remember this word. yikes. i invited tobi to a birthday lunch so we ended up at Faun where they always have tons of coasters on the table that we fan out like cards and play with.

Sweet Anna made Tobi a cake! We had it in the design office and it made the whole room smell like sugar. Very nice.

Tobi is wearing his new orange jacket which was a birthday present from his friend Toma.

This one is from last friday, but i had to add it because of the pop.  It’s a stack of blankets at Salon Tse Tse, one of my favorite stores in Munich. I love the fabrics.

after work tobi and i went out with a colleague from cologne to show him viktualianmarkt and the center.

our office is really cool. it’s got high ceilings, glass and a fussball table. i really suck at fussball. eric, an old co-worker, told me that i play like a drunk person. i couldnt even be insulted because it’s true.

the design team is the creative director brigitte who is the coolest boss one could ask for, and tobi, my partner in crime. notice his resemblance to jesus crossed with che guevara. he is sometimes referred to as chesus. chesus sits across from me and we regularly make ugly faces at each other through the crack between our monitors.

My workspace usually tends to be a mess of scrap paper, various drinks, magazines and random crap. my rain boots are in this one too.

i also eat lunch at my desk sometimes. green tea and a pretzel.

our office is located in a really cool gay area with nice bars and pretty cafes. my bank even sports a gay friendly rainbow flag on the glass door and the sushi place is next to what seems to be a gay tattoo parlor. next to that is a high class second hand store selling expensive and nice clothing. across the street from there is an asian grocery store which i frequent, an organic food store with expensive salads and a store selling leather bondage gear. i actually once saw a man running down the street wearing assless chaps.

with the weather cooling down to sweater-wear temperatures, ive finally grown to love the european tradition of sitting outside cafes and drinking something nice. previous to this, i always wanted to sit inside cause im not a fan of sitting in the sun, but now that the sun isnt so strong and the trees are still leafy and providing shade, i love it.

i live right by the isar, and over the bridge is a nice place called zoozies that niko and i like to walk to. sunday was spent lazily walking around the center and then having drinks at zoozies where we ran into my friend sara and her american husband christian.

We had more drinks and then we walked by the isar and into the city center and ended up eating huge plates of schnitzel. HUGE. like bigger than my face. the length of my forearm and the span of my huge hand making a number 5. with potatoes.
